About Us

An independent blog and a collection of practical converters, created to make everyday measurements easier to understand.

The blogger behind Unitly

I’m Tom, the blogger behind Unitly.one. This website brings together free unit converters and straightforward articles about the numbers we meet in everyday work. A recipe, a room measurement, a file size or a product specification can become confusing when different units are involved. I want Unitly to be a useful place to work through those questions, with the calculation and its meaning kept together.

Our mission

Make unit conversions easy to use and easy to understand. A visitor should be able to enter a value, choose clearly labelled units and get a result without creating an account. The explanation should also help them see when a convention matters, what assumptions belong to the calculation and which details need to stay with the answer.

What you will find here

The toolkit covers everyday measurements, motion and energy, digital and electrical quantities, and science and materials. The Blog explores practical questions behind those tools: comparing GB with GiB, reading a temperature interval, checking a package mass or keeping US and Imperial gallons separate. Worked examples and tables connect the arithmetic to an actual task.

How I write the guides

I focus on the question a reader is trying to answer, then explain the relevant units and calculation. Examples state their assumptions, and limitations stay visible when a conversion needs more context. The tools and articles are educational resources; they do not claim that a calculation is a new measurement or a professional assessment. Clear corrections are more useful than confident wording when an explanation needs improvement.

How the website is supported

My aim is to support Unitly.one through advertising revenue, including Google AdSense when it is enabled. Advertising can help cover the work involved in maintaining free converters and writing useful articles. Visitors do not need a paid account to use the tools, and advertising is separate from the calculations and their results.

Help make Unitly better

A useful suggestion can start with a small detail: an unclear label, an unexpected result or a conversion that is missing. The Contact Us page provides a place for questions, corrections and ideas. For a calculation question, include the original value and both units so the issue can be understood and reproduced.
